The diadromous fish census is based on the permanent fish traps at the Salmon Leap and Mill Race in the Burrishoole catchment Newport Co. Mayo. The following parameters are measured: Wild Spring Fish quantity and comments, Wild Grilse quantity and comments, Wild Previous Spawned Grilse quantity and comments, Reared Spring Fish quantity and comments, Reared Grilse quantity and comments, Reared Previous Spawned Grilse quantity and comments, Reared Second Return quantity and comments, Wild Sea Trout quantity and comments, Wild Finnock quantity and comments, Wild Brown Trout quantity and comments, Reared Brown Trout quantity and comments, Culled quantity and comments and Alive quantity and comments. Silver Eel quantity and comments.
