Provenance information The Corine Land Cover inventory is based on satellite images as the primary information source. SPOT-4 and IRS P6 imagery was used in 2006, along with the previous CLC inventory (CLC00_IE) and the Landsat TM satellite imagery used for CLC00_IE. The CLC00_IE database was revised to create CLC00rev_IE database and it was used as the baseline for the interpretation of land cover change of areas larger than 5 hectares between 2000 and 2006. Change polygons were then recoded to represent the land cover status of the given polygon as interpreted from the 2006 imagery. During the delineation of the changes linear features smaller than 100m wide are not considered and generalised.
