Potential Use | The potential usage of such a dataset is enormous; from farming, environmental science, wind turbine siting. I wish to have such a capability so I can validate and calibrate the Wexford RNLI/Boat Club weatherstation for the website www.wexfordharbour.info/iOS |

I do access these resources regularly. However what I really need is the ability to access synoptic weather data over a date/time range. My other problem is that the historical data does not contain any information on maximum gust, which is very interesting to mariners.
What I would really like would be hourly Met Data in an OpenDAP system such as the Digital Ocean system used by the FurnaceAWS at http://erddap.digitalocean.ie/erddap/tabledap/imiFurnaceWSdaily.html This would allow me to download data over a date/time range as required Give me maximum gust speeds not just when it was above 34 knots or when the gust was 10km greater than average Allow me to generate and modify a DAP URL to automatically download data to keep my comparison table up to date for checking and validating my RNLI weather station in Wexford Harbour (see https://wexfordharbour.info)
