The Marine Business dataset presents a spatial breakdown of companies categorised across the thirteen industries defined in Ireland’s Ocean Economy Report series. To enable spatial analysis, businesses have been georeferenced to their corresponding electoral divisions (EDs) and joined with the 2022 Central Statistics Office (CSO) electoral division boundaries, as provided by Tailte Éireann. This results in an ED-level representation of marine-related business distribution across Ireland. For confidentiality reasons, company names, contact information, and exact locations have been removed from this dataset.
