Pollutant Impact Potential for Phosphorus (PIP-P)

Tuairimí: 80
Rátáil oscailteachta:

Phosphorus Critical Source Area (CSA) are where there is a diffuse source of P from agricultural areas and the land is susceptible to losses. This ‘High PIP’ (Rank 1, 2 or 3) is typically due to the presence of poorly draining soils and moderate/high livestock intensity. Target these areas in At Risk water body in which phosphate is the significant issue and farming is the significant pressure.

Eolas Dualfhoinse Phosphorus Critical Source Area (CSA) are where there is a diffuse source of P from agricultural areas and the land is susceptible to losses. These maps (version 3) replace an earlier version and use data from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine on agricultural land use together with other spatial data (subsoils/bedrock/susceptibility etc.) to highlight areas at risk from P losses. ‘High PIP’ (Rank 1, 2 or 3) is typically due to the presence of poorly draining soils and moderate/high livestock intensity. Target these areas in At Risk water body in which phosphate is the significant issue and farming is the significant pressure.
