This is a command line (CLI) tool that helps LUAS users to access the Irish Transport information such as stops, addresses, map location, timetable, operational status, and fare calculator. This tool is based on the Luas Forecasting API integrated with the Open Street Map API.

Why it's a Showcase

The tool leverages Open Data from the Luas Forecasting API, making real-time Luas information readily available to users through a familiar command-line interface. This caters to a specific user group (tech-savvy individuals comfortable with command lines) who might not otherwise easily access this information. By integrating the Luas data with OpenStreetMap (OSM), a freely available mapping platform, the tool provides users with a convenient way to visualise stop locations and potentially plan their journeys.
